Computing Resources
Students and scientists are welcome to use the Station's computers or bring their own. All computers are networked and Internet connectivity is provided by a high speed (T1) connection. A wireless network provides users with network and Internet access from the Mead Residence Hall, Cabin, Lodge, Kitchen & Dining Hall, Classroom, and Laboratory.
With the wireless network, students, instructors, and researchers are able to go on-line from virtually anywhere on the Station, whether they are examining water samples from Tomahawk Lake or studying nutrient dynamics in Kemp Station's old growth forests.
Individuals requiring storage space on the Station's server should contact Tom or Karla upon their arrival.
Equipment includes:
- Seven PC workstations
- One GIS workstation
- Color and B&W laser printers
- Scanner
- 24 notebook computers
