The tour continues inside the tribe's state-of-the-art fish hatchery where eggs and fry are nurtured. |
Later in the day we visit a re-creation of a traditional Ojibwe village "Wa-Swa-Goning" (the place where they spear fish by torchlight). Students explore essential items of village life, from wigwams and lodges to handmade items such as baskets, fish traps and canoes.
