Kemp Natural Resources Station

Wildlife Ecology E-Journal: Monday, May 26, 2003

Sarah, Pam, and Katie measure and identify tree species on their study site. Students will use the information to calculate relative frequencies, densities, and dominance of tree species at each of their sites.

Students search their sites for all types of vegetation, such as this club moss.

Dave Redell, clutching his coffee cup, oversees students as they identify this bat as a Little Brown.

Glow sticks are attached to some of the bats which allow the students to watch their flight patterns. The glow sticks fall off in less than a week with no harm to the bats.
