Kemp
Station supports more than 35 different research projects each year. Studies
range from investigations into the evolutionary origins of land plants to
the role of temperate forests in climate change. Regardless of the subject
or the scope, all projects strive for the same goal – to improve our
understanding of the world around us.
During
the busy field season, scientists from Wisconsin and across North America
call Kemp Station home. The Station is developing a national and
international reputation for conducting innovative environmental and
natural resources research.
The work of these scientists is incredibly diverse and touches nearly
every aspect of aquatic and terrestrial ecology.A growing area
of study is biocomplexity. Researchers from several scientific disciplines
are working together to better understand our environment, its many
components, and the complex interactions that take place. |
